As you know Microsoft Word is word processing software that allows users to create a documents and edit text documents. Users can start with blank documents or work from per-configured templates for projects with frequently used formats. Microsoft Word is often packaged with the Microsoft Office Suite, but it is also sold independently.

Ok now in this article I am going to show the top and important shortcut keyboards in Microsoft Word.

Ctrl + shift + space  = it means Create a Non-breaking Space
Ctrl + – (Hyphen)  = it means  Create a Non-breaking Hyphen
Ctrl + B = it means to  Make letters BOLD
Ctrl + I = it means to Make letters ITALIC
Ctrl + U = it means to Make letters UNDERLINED
Ctrl + shift + < = it means Decrease font size one value
Ctrl + shift + > = it means Increase font size one value
Ctrl + [= it means Increase the font size by 1 point.
Ctrl +] = it means Decrease the font size by 1 point.
Ctrl + Space = it means Remove paragraph or character formatting.
Ctrl + C = it means Copy the selected text or object.
Ctrl + x = it means Cut the selected text or object.
Ctrl + V = it means Paste text or an object.

3. Working with documents: Find, replace, and browse through text

 
Ctrl + F = it means Find text, formatting, and special items.
Alt + Ctrl +Y = it means Repeat find (after closing Find and Replace window).
Ctrl + H = it means Replace text, specific formatting, and special items.
Ctrl + G = it means Go to a page, bookmark, footnote, table, comment, graphic, or other location.
Alt + Ctrl + Z = it means Switch between the last four places that you have edited.
 Alt + Ctrl + Home = it means Open a list of browse options. Press the arrow keys to select an option, and then press ENTER to browse through a document by using the selected option.

4. Working with documents: Switch to another view

Ctrl + Page UP = it means Move to the previous edit location.
 Ctrl + Page down = it means Move to the next edit location.
Alt + Ctrl + P = it means Switch to Print Layout view.
Alt + Ctrl + O = it means  Switch to Outline view.
Alt + Ctrl + N = it means Switch to Draft view.

Alt + Shift + Arrow left = it means Promote a paragraph.

Alt + Shift + Arrow Right = it means Demote a paragraph.
Ctrl + Shift + N = it means Demote to body text.
Alt + Shift + Arrow UP = it means Move selected paragraphs up.
Alt + Shift + Arrow Down = it means Move selected paragraphs down.
Alt + Shift + A = it means Expand or collapse all text or headings.
Alt + Shift + L = it means Show the first line of body text or all body text.
Alt + Shift + I = it means Show all headings with the Heading 1 style.
 Alt + Shift + N = it means Show all headings up to Heading n.
Ctrl + Tab = it means Insert a tab character.

Ctrl + P = it means Print a document.
Alt + Ctrl + I = it means Switch in or out of print preview.
Arrow UP, Arrow Down, Arrow Left, Arrow Right = it means Move around the preview page when zoomed in.
Page up, page down = it means Move by one preview page when zoomed out.
Ctrl + Home = it means Move to the first preview page when zoomed out.
Ctrl + End = it means Move to the last preview page when zoomed out.

Alt + Ctrl + M = it means Insert a comment.
Ctrl+ Shift + E = it means Turn change tracking on or off.

Home = it means go to beginning of document.

End = it means go to end of document.
N, Enter = it means go to page n.
Esc = it means exit reading layout view.

9. Working with documents: References, footnotes, and end notes

Alt + Shift + O = it means mark a table of contents entry.
Alt + Shift + I = it means mark a table of authorities entry (citation).
Alt + Shift + X = it means mark an index entry.
 Alt + Shift + F = it means insert a footnote.

Ctrl + K = it means insert a hyperlink.

Alt + Arrow left = it means go back one page.

Backspace = it means delete one character to the left.
Ctrl+ backspace = it means delete one word to the left.
Delete = it means delete one character to the right.
